When I first began to plan the Inn, my dream and goal was to provide a sanctuary for tired travelers. Being a person who never sleeps well outside my own room and my own bed, I tried to think of every conceivable way to bring comfort and peaceful surroundings to my guests ~
With that in mind, I purchased the most comfortable mattresses available: Posturepedic double pillow top with extra firm inner springs. Then I dressed them in the softest 100% cotton sheets- which are washed and rinsed in lavender water, hung outside on the clothesline to dry crisp and white, then ironed to perfection. The results? Like sleeping on a cloud! My guests tell me that pulling back those air dried sheets is like breathing sunshine and blue skies! Add to this cotton blankets- a thin soft and fine sheet blanket, then topped with a heavier woven one, topped with a lovely satin or velvet bed cover and you have the perfect night’s resting spot. I try to offer as many pillow selections as possible - hypoallergenic, down, goose down and microfiber filled.
Bathrooms are impeccably clean and stocked with a variety of amenities - robes, shampoos and bath products, thick white fluffy towels, and hand knitted wash cloths. In the TV lounge, you’ll find an "I Forgot to Pack.." Basket with items such as toothbrushes and razors, shoe polish , etc. So please ask if you are missing anything!
Many of my pillow cases are hand embroidered linens found at our local antique shops. I even embroider some myself.
I can guarantee you the best nights sleep available! For those extra sensitive sleepers - the interior walls are all thick brick, thanks to 1870’s stlye construction, you will not hear your neighboring guests at all.
Each room is tastefully furnished with a dresser or armoire, queen sized beds, well lighted work spaces, armchair, windows (that open!) with wide wooden blinds, ceiling fans, central air, plenty of plug in outlets, WIFI, and private baths.
Room rates are $135.00/night which includes breakfast and all applicable taxes. |
